Dear Mrs.Mirchandani, I too from hyderabad, but living in newyork. I lived in several places, states in US. But i made NY as my home. You know ny is the most diverse culturally, ethnic wise, linguistically, socio-economically and historically. It is the worlds capital. It absorbs every single culture on the earth. You can see at least one person from everysingle country on the earth on the streets of manhattan. why i am sayin all this is , it has relevance as like you mentioned about your childhood things. Just because we lived here for say 10 (even you take 40-50 yrs), should we ignore the historic importance of the people who are living there even before we born. Just because we developed the places, should we claim as ours. Basically what i am trying to say, telanga issue is there even you born and infact even before your parents came to hyderabad to settle. Hyderabad is such a place , it attracted people from many parts of the world even before indepndance, for a matter of fact even before yours and my fore fore fore fathers were born on the earth. It was there as capital of hyderabad state even before the formation of todays andhrapradesh. I will give one example, suppose you have a plot(i mean real estate plot). You have it from generations, but later on some one comes and built new building for his own . Later, his children and thier children built more and more buildings but your place is same as it is before they came. Now if they claim, only because they were here, you have your livelihood. How would you feel, same feeling is there in people of telangana. No body is saying, once telangana comes, every one else should leave. How can some one think like that. We are asking separate telanga, for self respect and to stop the never ending exploitation. Today, though i am well educated, leading successful life here in US, i can revisualise the pathetic situation in the villages of telangan( i am from very backward village in telangana). Actually, I wanted to write more but my patients are waiting to see me. At the end, what i am trying to say is just dont comment on peoples agitation for telangana based on your city grew up background. Go to villages, see their life even after 62 yrs of independence. Nothing changed in last 53 yrs of andhra pradesh statehood. How can any one believe that developement will occur and those peoples live will improve in the hands of exploiting andhra politicians. One thing i can say, everyday life wont change for people like you in new telangana. You will have same pulusu and gongura. I have great respect to NDTV. YES, you have your freedom to express your views but at the end you should give other peoples version also. regards Dr.s,
